As a prequalified contractor Cast & Baker has performed road work for both for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.  Construction of a section of the north–south freeway known as the Mon-Fayette Expressway involved excavation, grading, drainage work and pavement rehabilitation.
